David Goldstein earned his Bachelor of Science degree in music education at CCNY in 1939 and a master's degree in composition from Columbia University. Later, he studied at the Long Island College of Medicine, finishing his training in pediatrics in 1953. From 1953 to 1980, he worked as a pediatrician for three days a week, while devoting the rest of his life to music., composing especially for the viol and the recorder. He was a member of the American Recorder Society in New York. Some of his b...
